Polyurethane-insulated sandwich panels are used in industrial cold stores. Thanks to its chemical structure, the polyurethane core does not harbour organisms harmful to health, and its low thermal conductivity gives excellent insulation.
With their low thermal conductivity, insulated sandwich panels solve a wide range of insulation problems, which is why they are used so widely in the refrigeration industry.
The panels have a monolithic sandwich structure, made by injecting high-density rigid polyurethane foam between two metal facings. Depending on the application, cold stores can be built to hold temperatures anywhere between -40 °C and +15 °C.
